On Monday, students will receive a survey sent out by Staff Council that will provide the opportunity to express their opinions about tobacco on campus.

“The campus tobacco survey is going to go out to all faculty and staff and students and it basically going to be used to gauge what are peoples attitudes towards tobacco use on campus,” said America Minc chair of the Tobacco Free Campus Initiative, a sub branch of the Staff Council.

Due to a recent movement among universities in the region to tobacco free campus policies, the information from the survey will better inform the Staff Council to make suggestions to Dr. Keel, said Minc.

“We want to know what people think about our current policy,” said Minc. “We want to know about people’s attitudes and concerns are related to tobacco use on campus.”

The survey will end Nov. 4.
