| Sunday's Eagle Alert proves to be false report |

Dexter Michael Dorsey, 19, was arrested today by Georgia Southern University campus police for false report of a crime, according to a GSU press release. Dorsey reported that two black males had tried to rob him on Malecki Drive on Sunday and that one of the males had shot him in his left hand, according to the press release. GSU police investigated the alleged crime scene and areas on and off campus. The evidence from these investigations and surveillance footage informed police that Dorsey's report was false, according to the press release. According to the press release, Dorsey is being held in Bulloch County jail and has been banned from GSU campus.
